Irma San Miguel was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend who selflessly gave everything for the good of others thinking of herself last. She served our Lord Jesus Christ at San Martin de Porres and Santa Margarita Catholic Churches as a CCD teacher, assisted her husband Deacon San Miguel with baptismal classes and worked ACTS retreats. She was often referred to as a firecracker because she had the energy of a joyful Christian. Whenever she did something, it was for her family and friends; never for herself. Her cooking, wow! She cooked the most amazing meals and tortillas with an over abundant ingredient of love, which was the glue that kept her family together. Her cooking is legendary in the San Miguel house hold.
She was a very reliable and dependable secretary to several principals and counselors in LISD.
Everyone at work loved her and her homemade tacos.
Irma had an incredible memory and displayed various forms of intelligence including emotional, interpersonal, logical, linguistic, and spiritual. She was given so much by God and poured out all she was given onto all whom she came across. She did so selflessly and without calculating what it was going to cost her much like Our Lady. She seemed to have known almost everyone in Laredo and with her impeccable memory was quick to connect family ties. As we step back and look at her entire life, we see how she embodied the life of a true Christian. GOD first, everyone else next and her, always last. If you knew her, then you know this about it her. The loss we are experiencing is only tolerable knowing that we will, through God’s grace in His love be reunited.
