Obituary

Hector Luis Herrera, 70, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021, peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side.

Born on May 16, 1951, to Margarito and Aida Herrera, Hector was the youngest of three siblings. He attended Martin High School and graduated in 1969, having played for the Tigers on the football and baseball teams. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He married Sylvia Rodriguez on October 10, 1975, and were married for 45 wonderful years. Together they raised four beautiful children, Bianca, Hecky, Willie, and J.J.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He maintained life long friendships that he and Sylvia treasured. His great personality and quick wit will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.  He was a people person as well as a dog person, and he never met a dog he didn’t like. He leaves behind his faithful companions, Peewee, Gigi, Sunny, Honey Bear, Coco, and Tessa.
