Obituary

Guadalupe “Lupita” Montante, 81, entered into eternal rest on, Saturday, May 29, 2021.

Guadalupe was a devout Catholic and lifetime parishioner at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She was active for many years at Holy Redeemer’s Jamaicas, bingos, and food fundraisers. She was a woman of her word, always kept promises, and maintained the highest standards of integrity for herself and those around her. Lupita loved to cook, especially for everyone who visited her – you never left hungry or without raving about her delicious food! Lupita most enjoyed spending time with her family, helping care for her grandchildren, caring and maintaining for her lush garden, and going for walks around the neighborhood that would frequently lead to visits with her friends. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Montante Jr.; parents, Juan & Maria de la Paz Lopez; parents-in-law, Francisco & Maria de Jesus Montante Sr.; siblings: Luis Lopez, Samuel Lopez (Maria Dolores), Ana Laura Ayala; in laws, Pablo & Blanca Montante, Socorro Rosales, Carlos “Chale” & Maria Teresa Pena, Oscar & Maria del Jesus Garcia, and Armando & Guadalupe Montante.

Guadalupe is survived by her children, Roberto (Lucia) Montante, Sandra (Martin) Aleman; 7 grandchildren, Kazandra Aleman, Alezandra Aleman, Leezandra Aleman, Roberto Montante Jr., Jorge A. Montante, Arturo I. Montante, and Esabella Montante; siblings, Maria de Jesus Lopez, Ricardo Lopez (Nora+), Cristobal Lopez (Rafaela+), Rodolfo Lopez (Rosa+), Esperanza (Jesus) Hernández; as well as numerous other family and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Mateo Reyes, Dr. Eduardo Miranda, Dr. Rafael J. Deliz, Dr. Emmanuel Okolo, and the wonderful ICU nurses at Doctor’s Hospital, Sharonitta, Elsa, Melissa, Krystal, Karla and Angelica G. Virjan for their patience and professionalism with our mother.
