Graciela M. Salinas Lopez, 62, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011.Graciela touched the eyes of everyone who knew and loved her. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother and so much more.Through her life, which she lived so well, she taught us how to love one another, and how to love our lives with grace. She will greatly be missed for her kindness, compassion, and the immensity of her heart. For these things we honor her today and all the days to come.She was a nurse for 39 years at Mercy Hospital, Planned Parenthood, Doctor’s Hospital, School Nurse and finally retired as Marketer Nurse for Retama Nursing Homes.She was preceded in death by her parents; Santiago and Juanita Salinas, brother; Ernesto Salinas, sister-in-laws; Ingeborg Salinas and Marta Del Refugo “Cookie” Salinas and father-in-law; Juan Lopez, Sr.She is survived by her Loving husband; Juan Lopez Jr. of 38 years. and also by her children; Johnny (Amelia) Lopez III, Jaime (Christina) Lopez both of Austin, Tx, Valerie Ann Lopez of Houston, Tx, granddaughter; Alejandra Isabel Escamilla Lopez of Nacogdoches, Tx.Siblings; Jose Santiago Salinas of Laredo, Tx, Jose Ramiro (Enededia) Salinas of Oilton, Tx, Catalina Chavera of Laredo, Tx, Juan Salinas, Fernando (Maria Angelina) Salinas of Bruni, Tx, Anastacio (Maria Elena) Salinas of Laredo, Tx and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by her mother-in-law; Otilia M. Lopez and sister-in-law; Margarita (Lupe), Elida (†Arnulfo) Garcia, Yolanda Lopez, Minerva Lopez, Elvira (Joe) Briones and Sandra Lopez.Family members will be receiving friends and family on Monday, March 28, 2011, from 5:00 pm 9:00 pm and a rosary recited at 7:00pm at Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel.Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from to funeral home to Santa Brigida Church of Oilton, Texas. Holy mass will commence at 10:00am. Pallbearers will be; Jerry Chavera, Adrian Chavera, Juan Salinas, Jr., Santiago Salinas, Jose Ramiro Salinas, Jr., Johnny Molina. Honorary Pallbearers; Ramon Molina, Jr., Orlando Molina, Eduardo Salinas and Robert Salinas.
