Mrs. Gloria O. Garcia, 60 passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in Laredo, TX. Surrounded by her family Gloria inspired to become a registered nurse. She started as a nurse aid, and later became an LVN followed by her RN degree. She successful led her children to follow her into the medical field. She was a hard worker and always dedicated to her family. She will be greatly missed.Mrs. Garcia is preceded in death by her parents; Vicente & Isabel Vasquez, and her sister; Guadalupe Medina.Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband; Omaro Garcia, children; Mrs. Manuel (Rosario) Patiño, Omaro (Monica) Garcia, Raul (Jesscia) Garcia, Juan Jose (April) Garcia, Ruben (Amy) Garcia, brothers & sisters; Manuel (Cristina) Vaquera, Margarita Hernandez, Juan (Alicia) Vaquera, Armando Vaquera, all of Laredo. Alfredo (Maria) Vaquera of Dallas, Vicente ( Carmen) Vaquera, Jr. of Dallas, Jose “ Pepe” (Laura) Vaquera of Irving, Hilda Vaquera of Nuevo Laredo, Mr. Oscar (Bertha Alicia) Mendoza of Dallas, and Mrs. Rosa Castro, many relatives, 10 grandchildren and friends.The family will be receiving friends and family at Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services, Friday, July 22, 2011, from 5pm-9pm, a rosary will be recited at 7:00pm.
