Francisco Jimenez, 94, entered into eternal rest, Saturday, July 13, 2024. Mr. Jimenez was a house carpenter who had a passion for deer hunting, baseball and boxing. He was a devoted fan of the Texas Rangers. At a very early age, he taught himself to play the guitar and piano and was in a band.
In addition, he also loved creating wood furniture, building guitars, collecting coins, and raising his own chickens.
Born in Laredo, Texas Francisco is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Yolanda Jimenez.
Francisco is survived by his children, Graciela (Teodoro) Aguilar, Genaro (+ Marie) Jimenez, Hector Jimenez, Jorge Enrique (Dora) Jimenez, Hilda (+Enrique) Rocha, Francisco (Helen) Jimenez, Jr, and Mabel (Gilbert) Cadena; grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Concepcion Jimenez and sister, Maria Gonzalez; as well as other family members that will greatly miss him.
The family will be receiving condolences on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 7:00 am to 10:30 am. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 am. Funeral procession will follow to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where a mass will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
