Upon graduating from Christian Union High School, he went on to military and served his country during Vietnam war. He then returned to Laredo with status of honorably discharged 100% disabled veteran. Francisco was very patriotic and took great pride in serving his country and his community. Francisco then married Eudelia Perez and had 7 children. Francisco then worked in Webb County under old Sheriff Lopez and Sanchez. He was one of 5 deputys at that time. He lived vicariously through his children and grandchildren teaching them to play baseball and accordion music. He was also a Little League Coach. After retiring he used to have a recurring dream that he was on top of a roof, building a house with workers and he used to say that he loved the smell of fresh lumber on a construction site and he used to say that he missed those days so he liked it when he had that dream and he would smile as he would recall that dream. Francisco is remembered by many working from sun up to sun down. He was always waking up at 5:30 A.M. every morning until his passing where he passed in his sleep. Francisco would regularly tell people, “I like to work and as for sleep well I can do that when I die.” His friends and family always remember his humor and jokes and his legacy will be honored by those dear to him. All of his children have chosen to continue in construction, real estate, ranch and music passion.
