Francisca A. Cornejo, born January 02, 1946, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in Laredo, Texas. Francisca was born in Lampazos De Naranjo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Rita Alonso and Guadalupe Lopez. She was the second child of six children. Francisca married Martin Cornejo Salazar in 1968, and they happily shared their lives together for 55 years until Martin entered eternal rest in 2023. Francisca dedicated her life to her husband, children, and family. She always welcomed family and friends with a warm smile and a delicious homemade meal. She continuously rejoiced in her blessings and overcame struggles in life with an unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents Rito Alonso and Guadalupe Lopez, husband, Martin Cornejo Salazar, son, Alberto Cornejo,  grandson Alberto Cornejo Jr, brother, Raul Alonso and sister, Maria Del Carmen Salazar.

She is survived by her children, Martin Cornejo, Jr., Rolando (Araceli) Cornejo, Irasema (Omar) Cantu, Antonio (Monica) Cornejo and daughter-in-law Brenda Cornejo. Grandchildren: Abraham Antonio Cornejo, Rolando Cornejo Jr., Sophia Isabel Cornejo, Ernesto Daniel Cornejo, Martin Cornejo III, Brianna Cornejo and Omar Emmanuel Cantu. Also surviving her are brother, Rito (Guadalupe+) Alonso, sisters, Amalia (Armando+) Cisneros, Gloria (Josemaria) Perez and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Mateo Reyes and all his staff, South Texas Primary Care, home providers Ms. Ramona Jasso and Juanita Sosa.

The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation services, where chapel doors will open at 8:00 am. A chapel service will be officiated at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
