Fernando Samuel Martinez, 28, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

Fernando was a proud graduate of J.W. Nixon High School class of 2012. He was very playful with his nephews and nieces, and he will truly be missed. He was someone everyone could count on, he was loved by many and will be leaving great memories for all his dearest friends, nephews, nieces, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and his parents. Sammy enjoyed working with computers, making music, and was always very helpful with everybody around him. We love you and you will be missed but not forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his father, Santos Martinez, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Fernando and Ernestina Tays; paternal grandmother, Oralia Martinez; uncles, Fernando Tays, Reymundo Tays, George Tays, Alejandro Tays, and Juan Jose Martinez.

Fernando is survived by his mother, Evangelina Martinez; step-father, Roberto Puente; siblings, Roberto (Brenda L.) Puente, Jr., and Rebecca (Arturo Martinez) Puente; aunts & uncles, Armando (Concepcion) Tays, Juanita Tays (Leonel) Ramos, Francisco (Linda) Tays, Roberto (Mary) Tays, and Lupita (Juan) Reyes, Ramiro Martinez, Leonel Martinez, Alfonso Martinez, and Maria Angela Banda; paternal grandfather, Santos Martinez, Sr.; as well as nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives & friends.

The family will be receiving guests on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Cremation Services will be held at a later date.
