Everardo Peña, Jr., 89, entered into eternal rest on, Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Melissa C. Riojas; sister, Maria Estela Martinez; and brother-in-law, Humberto Martinez.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 68 years, Maria O. Peña; daughters, Norma Riojas, and Rosalinda (Jorge) Moreno; 5 grandchildren, Jorge Moreno, Jr., Marco A. Riojas, Luis Moreno, Andres (Brenda) Moreno, and Domingo Riojas; brother, Jesus E. (Raquel) Peña; 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; as well as numerous other family and friends.

The family will be receiving guests on Sunday, August 14, 2022, in the Angelus chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Rosary will be officiated at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church located at 109 N Meadow Ave, Laredo, TX 78040. The Funeral Mass will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery.

Military Honors will be provided by the Laredo Veterans Honor Guard and Presentation of the U.S. Flag will be provided by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
