Moments I remember my Tia Lala, when she sat at the round table at our house, always laughing and a big smile on her face, having conversations with her sisters and my mom in spanish being really loud. I remember the time we would drive by to visit and her walking down the stairs and meeting us at the gate to greet us as we dropped something off. I remember getting together at Tia Amalia's house, where everyone would be around the kitchen making tamales for the family around Christmas and New year's. I remember Tia Lala coming with Angie, Junior and the grand kids to exchange presents and have good good and drink at the house, celebrating our time together over the holidays. I remember from pictures how beautiful she looked at Angie's and Flora's baby showers and my sweet 16th birthday. emember seeing recent pictures of her on facebook with her children and grandchildren. I remember my mom telling me that she wished me a happy birthday this summer and that my mom recently seen and talk with her before her passing this weekend. I have many memories of of Tia Lala that I can cherish and hold close to my heart as she is no longer with us. I love you Tia Lala!

Our entire family has been in mourning with the loss of such a vibrant, caring, loving, and courageous individual such as Eulalia H. Bocanegra, "Tia Lala" as we know her. We had many wonderful family occasions for so many years with Tia Lala and now we shed tears for the loss of such a kindred soul. Our pain is at times unbearable as we too suffer your loss in this time of pain and sorrow it is easy for us to get lost. Yet, there are words of comfort, love, and hope as we reflect on the cherished memories of our Tia Lala. We are reminded in Revelation 14:13 that the lord is with us in this time of need "And I heard a voice from heaven saying, 'Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.' 'Blessed indeed,' says the Spirit, 'that they may rest their labours, for their deeds follow them!" and Lamentations 3:31-33 "For no one is cast off by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone." It is with great sorrow and pain that we share as a family with the loss of "Tia Lala", but as John 16:22 states "Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy." Our hearts go out to the Bocanegra and Hernandez families. May the Lord bless you and keep you safe.
