Ernesto “Ernie” Garcia, 49, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on January 3, 2021.
Born on April 26, 1971 in Weslaco, TX. Ernie was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and friend who made an everlasting impact with his selflessness, kindness, patience and integrity.
Ernie was raised with solid core values and spent his formative years working on his dynasty Royal E Transport, Royal E Construction, and Royal E Investments. His hallmark work ethic was always working from sunrise to sunset to provide the best for his family.
He is preceded in death by his father Ernesto Garcia Jr. Ernie is survived by his parents Jesse and Idolina Garcia, wife Elsa Garcia, children Hope M. Garcia, Holly M. Garcia, Heidi V. Garcia, Hailey V. Garcia, Israel Ruiz, Ernesto D. Garcia, Michael (Teresa) Rodriguez, Elias (Emily) Rodriguez, and Daniel (Vanessa) Rodriguez. Siblings Erika Garcia and Jesse Garcia. Numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving guests, Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will start at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021, at Divine Mercy Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Due to the COVID pandemic and for the safety of all, the family will also be live streaming the funeral services at www.freddickey.com on Thursday, starting at 5:00 pm.

I met Ernie on our about 2009 at First National Bank in Laredo. He is a good guy, a friend and a person with principles. Always had a smile and a good things to say, positive outlook on life, a family man, he will be missed!!
