Erika Fabiola Acevedo, 41, entered into eternal rest on, Saturday, May 29, 2021.
Erika was always a very strong woman who never gave up. It is said that God only sends the hardest battles to the strongest people and Fabiola was a warrior. She was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, and daughter and will be greatly missed. She is no longer suffering and she is with her daughter and father enjoying eternal rest.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jesus Acevedo; daughter, Andrea Georgina Veliz.
Erika is survived by her daughter, Alyssa Mendive (Daniel Dilley); grandson, Donovan D. Dilley, future granddaughter, Alina Fabiola Dilley; mother, Rosa Maria Acevedo; sisters, Rosa Isela Acevedo (Melquides) Sanchez, Jessica Gabriela Acevedo; as well as numerous other family and friends.
The family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery.
