He was born to Jose Sanchez Vasquez and Guadalupe Hinojosa Vela in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico on April 25, 1923.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Mirna Sanchez; siblings, Jose Sanchez, Maria De Los Angeles Sanchez de Gonzalez, Elida Sanchez de Espinoza, Federico Sanchez, and Mauricia Elda Sanchez de Lopez.
Erasmo is survived by wife, Minerva Sanchez; children, Erasmo Alfredo (Ana Maria) Sanchez, Alvaro (Nidia) Sanchez, Rene (Gloria) Sanchez, David (Diana) Sanchez, Ricardo (Esthela) Sanchez; grandchildren, Alvaro Sanchez, Jr., Kevin Sanchez, Karina Sanchez, Karla Sanchez, Stephanie Sanchez, Rebecca Sanchez, Jennifer Sanchez (William Wise), Ricardo Sanchez, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Sophia Valentina Wise; siblings, Homero Guadalupe Sanchez, Gloria Sanchez de Garza, Oralia Sanchez de Ramos; as well as numerous other family and friends.
The family will be receiving guests on Sunday, August 21, 2022, in the Angelus chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will be officiated at 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A chapel service will tentatively be officiated at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
