Our loving Mother Emma G. Rodriguez, 93, born September 18, 1921, entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2015, with her family by her side.  She went beautifully and peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord.  She was devoted to her family, always there when needed and ready to offer her support.  She was a person of few words but her few words were highly respected by all her children.  After her husband passed away at an early age, she assumed both the maternal and paternal roles making sure that her children were raised to appreciate life and demonstrate respect and dignity for all.  She was greatly admired by all for her reserved and quiet personality.  She never sought attention upon herself, rather found comfort in allowing others to have the attention.  She will be greatly missed by everyone; however, her family will take comfort in knowing she is now in heaven with her Creator.  She remains in many hearts and will be remembered with a loving and joyful smile.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Trinidad Rodriguez and her sons, Trinidad (Rosa) Rodriguez, Jr., and Rodolfo Isaac (Argelia) Rodriguez.  She is survived by her children: Sara (Ricardo) Gomez, Emma (Juan) Taboada, Belia (Jose Maria) Rocha, Graciela (Francisco) Mendoza Jr., Eduardo Rodriguez, Mario Alberto (Olivia) Rodriguez, Javier (Sylvia) Rodriguez, Diana (Hugo) Quintanilla, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on January 14, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, 1320 Trey Drive where a holy rosary will be recited by Rev. Jose Luis Balderas.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Church on January 15, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Dear Rodriguez Family - "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" Matt. 5:4. May you find comfort and strength, knowing that our loving Heavenly Father assures us, that in life and in death we belong to God. It was Jesus who said, 'I am the resurrection and the life, and those who believe in me, even though they die, yet shall they live. John 11:25. May your trust in the Living God grant you hope, faith and peace!

Guela, Thank you for the good times and laughs we had with our talks. You were there for me and my babygirl Sarah when no one else was. I remember when I would come to the front of your house when I lived with my mother in law Rosa and you would always quickly come out just to invite me in and chat for long hours. It was funny when chato or someone asked for me and you would tell them, "No, aqui No esta" ;) In those talks I learned about your past, your, your family and we watched novelas. -_- Thank you Guela you will always have that special place in my heart of being my adopted Guela. Our thought and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Once again you are reunited with my suegro Trine. Love you Guela..... Sara Vargas & your great granddaughter Sarah Judith Rodriguez
