On Thursday, September 26, 2019, Eliud Peña Gonzalez, of Laredo, Texas, peacefully passed on to eternal rest at the age of 84. He was surrounded by his beloved wife, Laura, and his sons and daughters.

Eliud is predeceased by his father, Crisoforo Peña; mother, Manuela González Peña and sister Yolanda Judith Leal.

Eliud was blessed with a large and loving family. Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 59 years of marriage, Maria Laura H. de Peña and their children, Laura Leticia (Jose) Castillo, Eliud (Maria de la Luz) Peña, Ricardo Javier (Martha) Peña, Adriana Rebeca Peña, Angelica Maria Peña and Rodolfo Gerardo (Margarita) Peña, and  brother-in-law, Arturo Leal.  He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive guests Monday, September 30, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, 1320 Trey Drive, Laredo, Texas.   A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Laredo, Texas.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am.  Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
