Elida was born on December 28, 1922 in Robstown, TX. She went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2009 at the age 86. For many years she worked at the Azteca Tortilla Factory. During hard times, her family came to realize that, we have an angel who will watch over us. She will always be remembered for her outstanding smile and unique singing and best of all for her loving ways. Her favorite songs were Morena, Morenita and Senaida. She is preceded in death by her parents; Jesus Nava and Jesusa Ortiz and her husband; Anacleto De Luna. Elida is survived by her beloved children; Ricarda Rosa (Arturo) Ramirez, Anacleto (Dolores) De Luna, Eliseo (Thelma) De Luna and Francisco (Slyvia) Nava. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Claudia Ramirez, Arturo (Jami) Ramirez, Jr., Adrian (Leticia) Ramirez, Erika (Marco) Perez and Alejandra Ramirez. In addition and as a joyful extension of her beloved family she is further survived by 35 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their utmost gratitude to Dr. Adonis Zuniga Goldwater and staff, A.P.C. Home Health (Rosie and Nurse Graciela Moreno), Healing Hands Home Health (Julieta, Lula and Jackie) and LMC Hospice (Mr. Alberto Arizola and Mr. Alvarado) and care taker Irma Medina. Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2009 from 4 pm to 9 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A prayer service will be officiated at 7 pm by Pastor Rosa Hernandez. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 9 am at Templo Jesus es Senor, 4019 Vidaurri St. . Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, 4502 Thomas Ave. in the medical center.
