Having Eddie as friend was more than a priviledge - it was a gift. Throughout my many years of civic involvement for charitable fundraising, there were many obstacles & variables which one constantly had to deal with in trying to raise funds for charitable causes, but the one thing you could ALWAYS count on to be a constant was the support of Eddie. He was never an obstacle to success - he was the one who made success easier to attain. We citizens of Laredo were truly blessed and fortunate to have had Eddie touch our lives with his charitable graciousness, humble respect of everyone, and unflinching courage.Tonight, a Good & Righteous Man sleeps with the Angels.
