It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved sister Edna who peacefully departed this world on January 27, 2025 in the comfort of her home after a short illness due to complications of Rheumatoid Arthritis. Edna worked for Mercy Hospital then Laredo Medical Center for 48 years as a Cardiovascular Echocardiogram Specialist.
Ms. Granado is preceded in death by her daughter, Dinorah Elizabeth; parents, Trinidad Granado and Eustorgia Granado; sister, Sylvia and nephew, Randy.
She is survived by her siblings, Rodolfo (Elsa) Granado, Trinidad (Sandy) Granado, Marcos (Vicki) Granado, Martha (Juan) Vasquez, Angelica (Richard) Gonzalez and Veronica Granado; nieces and nephews, Martha Alicia, Rudy Jr., Monico, Ayla, Veronica, Victoria, Daniel, Brianna, Joaquin, Trinity, Mark, Sylvia, Elric and Cassandra; as well as other family members and friends that will greatly miss her.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Ricardo Cigarroa, Sr., Dr. Carlos Cigarroa and their father (+)Dr. Joaquin Cigarroa Sr., for going above and beyond caring for our sister.
The family will be receiving guests on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 8:00 am to 10:30 am. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 am. Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery.
