Obituary

Today we honor someone very, very special in our lives … Distinguished Puerto Rican, very proud of her Corsican ancestry, proud “Ponceña,” despite being born in the nearby town of Guayanilla. Devoted and caring daughter, mother, dedicated grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, niece, guide, benefactor and teacher of many, remarkable artist, commendable citizen, and talented professional.

Last September 18, 2024, my Mother Edda, left the world of the living. She had a very long and prolific life, spending her last ten years being cared by her youngest daughter Amarilis, her dearest son-in-law Charlie, and enjoying her much loved grandchildren Carlos and Maria Eugenia, who committed themselves, in body and soul, to take care of her and loving her as she so greatly deserved.

We join in this, our great loss to her dearly loved brother Marino and sister Piscia, both still with us, her children: Luis and Elaine, and Edda; grandchildren: Elaine, Jenifer, Nicole, Luisa, Claudia, Guillermo; her great-grandchildren: Sofia, Olivia, Caleb, Thomas and William, and all her surviving relatives, with whom we share the great sorrow of losing her.

We trust that she’s in the presence of Our Almighty Father, finally enjoying His Glorious Grace, together with her loving husband Ciro, her parents Juan and Luisita, her siblings that preceded her: Pedro, Ada, Toño, Neyie and Elba …

May she Rest in Peace

It is hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember. Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but constantly near, still cherished, always missed, and very dear. We share our loss and deepest sympathies with family and friends. Jenifer, Olivia, Thomas, Elaine and Luis
