Donald “Don” E. Merritt, 62, was called by the Lord to his resting place in heaven, Monday, March 4, 2019 in Laredo, Texas.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 32 years, Alma Merritt, brothers and sisters in law, nephews and nieces.
Sergeant Merritt was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force who served out of country with much admiration. After his tour of duty Sgt. Merritt relocated to Laredo, Texas where he had met his beloved wife and formed a life together. His love for teaching inspired him to provide guidance to students by teaching in middle and high schools.
The family will receive guests, Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. Full military honors and presentation of the flag will be provided by the American Legion Post 59 of Laredo.
