Desiderio Oscar Garcia, 81, entered into eternal rest, Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
Our father was an exceptional man whose love and devotion touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He served proudly in the Navy, 2 years reserved and 4 years active during the Vietnam War, exemplifying courage and commitment. In his earlier days, he found joy in the ranch life in Aguilares, Texas, where he managed his cattle, goats, and other livestock with passion and pride.
His fond memories of helping his father in their family store in Aguilares, Texas and managing his store in Oilton, Texas reflect the deep roots of love and dedication he carried throughout his life. His connection to the ranch will forever remain in our hearts, a testament to the values he instilled in us.
After dedicating 30 years of service to the Laredo Independent School District, his impact on the community was immeasurable. As we mourn his passing, we celebrate the remarkable 81 years of his life, filled with love, laughter, and unwavering faith.
Though our dad wilt be greatly missed, we are eternally grateful to God for the gift of his presence in our lives. His legacy of love will continue to inspire us every day.
