Danny, you and I were very alike. In our lives we both woke up very early, you milked cows and I worked in a wholesale grocery warehouse. You did it in the morning before school and I did my work after school. We worked real hard. In our early years, we probably lived five blocks away but never really got to know you until we were in high school. We became close friends along with a lot of other guys during our high school days. We had a lot of good times. As we went thru high school, you became my protector and my inspiration because of your athletic skills and your strong family values. As life continues and our lives change we grow apart. I find it now so sad to see my closest friends leaving this earth. I miss the friendship that we all had together. Because life changes we go in different directions and forget about what we were until something tragic happens. I feel so sad and miss all of my friends that have passed away.

My heart goes out to you for the loss of your husband and father. I know how much he meant to you and his family. I met Danny through my brother, Robert, as they were classmates at St. Joseph’s Academy for many years. He had so many friends and acquaintances and all were lucky to have known him. May you look back on so many precious memories and find peace in them. I will keep you in my thought and prayers. Adriana Padilla, St. Joseph's Class of 73
