On Thursday, April 8, 2021, Cynthia (Cindy) Ann Ruiz, loving wife and mother of four children, met the hands of our Lord at the age of 60.
Cindy was born on August 9, 1960 in Corpus Christi, TX to Manuel Garza and Guadalupe May Garza. On January 31, 1981, she married Julian Javier Ruiz. They raised three daughters, Celena, Christina, Catherine, and one son, Benjamin. Cindy worked alongside her husband at their business J.J. Ruiz Land Surveying.
Cindy was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, church, and community. As a committed follower of Jesus Christ, she was a loyal member of Laredo First Assembly, where she loved attending worship every Sunday, whether in person or virtually. Cindy led her life in faith and impacted so many others in her walk with Jesus. She was a devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren who she made sure to let everyone know about. Cindy also had an appreciation for classical and worship style music, which she passed on to her kids Catherine and Benjamin.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father Manuel and mother Guadalupe.
She is survived by her husband Julian and her children and spouses: Celena and Kevin Hoang (Newport, RI), Christina and Omar Gonzalez (Corpus Christ, TX), Benjamin Ruiz (San Antonio, TX), and Catherine Ruiz (Spring, TX), and grandchildren: Johnny Belmontes, Violet Gonzalez, Scarlett Gonzalez, Jasmine Gonzalez, Brooklyn Gonzalez, and Alessandra Hoang.
