It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather, Cayetano Argais, Jr. Cayetano Argais, Jr. entered eternal rest on May 2, 2025 at the age of 95. Cayetano Argais, Jr. was born in Laredo, Texas, on April 25, 1930 to Cayetano and Hortencia Argais.

Cayetano Argais, Jr. was an army reserve and national guard veteran. From a young age, he had a passion for mechanics and was truly a mechanic at heart. His lifelong dedication to the trade led him to open his own shop, Tano Motors, where he proudly served his community for many years. He continued his mechanical career until his retirement, earning a reputation as an expert foreign car mechanic, with a special focus on Volkswagen vehicles. His skill, integrity, and commitment to his craft were admired by all who knew him. Mr. Cayetano Argais, Jr. built a legacy that will live on through many years.

Cayetano Argais, Jr. is preceded in death by his parents, Cayetano and Hortencia Argais, and by his brother, Severo Argais, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Graciela (Tays) Argais, and his children, Cayetano (Lorraine) Argais, III, Juan (Sara) J. Argais, and by his brother, Jose Argaiz. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, Priscilla Argaiz, Juan J. Argais, Jr., Cayetano Argaiz, IV, Kristina M. Argais, Samantha Argais, Alejandro Argaiz, Kassandra Argais, Jesus J. Argais, and by his great-grandchildren, along with numerous other loving family members and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 from the funeral home to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Cayetano Argais, Jr. will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
