Obituary

Carlos Jimenez Jr. (1954-2024) was born in Laredo, Texas to Carlos and Maria del Refugio Jimenez. He grew up with the love of hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He worked multiple jobs and lived throughout the United States. He also enjoyed cooking, carpentry, drawing and spending time with family. He took great pride in his Native American heritage and spent his retired years making Native American tools, crafts and attending various powwows.

He is preceded in death by his parents Carlos Jimenez and Maria del Refugio Jimenez Morales.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years Anna Jimenez and his children Juan Carlos, Raul (Georgina), Veronica (Alexander) Rodriguez, Samantha Jane (Samuel) Mendez, Carla Ann, and Sean. Siblings Carmen Jimenez, Marcos (Rosa) Jimenez, Rosa (Raymond) Alvarado, Thelma (Santos) Macias, Martin Jimenez and Tony Robles. Granddaughter Scotlyn Mendez. In laws Alejo (Guadalupe) Ortiz Jr., Sandra (+Jose Angel) Guardiola, Alexandra (Enrique) Manrique, Amanda (Alberto) Layton, Alejo (Wendy) Ortiz III and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will be receiving condolences on Wednesday, November  20, 2024 in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  A rosary will be recited at 7:15 pm.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation services, where chapel doors will open at 8:00 am. A chapel service will be officiated at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the Memorial Gardens of Laredo Cemetery.
