Benita Estrada, 84, entered into eternal rest on, Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Estrada; son, Ricardo Estrada (Rosalinda Estrada).
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rosa M. Mendoza (Augie Mendoza), Antonio Estrada, Julia Ayala (Eddie Ayala), Maria D. Rodriguez (James Rodriguez), Juan G. Estrada, Jr. (Juanita Estrada), Herlinda Estrada, Cecilia Valerio (Johnny Valerio), Alberto Estrada (Minerva Estrada), Enrique Estrada (Cynthia Estrada), Reymundo Estrada (San Juanita Estrada), Jacqueline C. Estrada (Diana Estrada), and Pedro Estrada; 36 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other family and friends.
The family will be receiving guests on Monday, August 15, 2022, in the Angelus chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Rosary will be officiated at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at San Luis Rey Catholic Church located at 3502 Sanders Ave, Laredo, TX 78040. The Funeral Mass will begin at 8:30 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Julie, My dear friend, my most sincere condolences go out to you and the rest of the Estrada family on the passing of your mother, Benita. Such a beautiful lady! I believe it was in the early 90s when I first met you mom. You were, then, going Laredo to visit her and invited me to go with you. My memory of her of that first day I met her was the beautiful smile she greeted me with. A smile that, to me, totally expressed such great kindness in her heart. And, even the last time I saw her, when you were caring for her here in the RGV, that smile of hers had not changed one bit. And, Julie, that was your “mommy”.
