Aurora Rendon, 82, was called home by our heavenly father on Monday, October 29, 2018.
During her time with us, she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Aurora loved politics and assisted in many local, state, and national campaigns. She was a warm-hearted person who enjoyed being with her family. She worked as a nurse most of her life and was the happiest helping and caring for people. She worked at Mercy Hospital and Laredo Family Planning Clinic as well as for several local doctor’s offices. Aurora was a wonderful person with a huge heart and would selflessly help anyone in need. She was the light of our lives and will be immensely missed. “We love you mom”
The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to Juan Hector Capetillo for his care and dedication to his grandmother.
Aurora is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Consuelo Rendon; brothers, Jose C. (+Gloria) Rendon and Carlos R. (+Carmen) Rendon; sisters, Irma (+Alfonso) Steele, Elva (+Ignacio) Portillo and Alicia (Guillermo) Celis.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gerardo S. (Patricia) Rendon, Jose Miguel (Luisa) Rendon and Aurora Rendon Flores; grandchildren, Naomi, Zeleny, Briana, and Juan Hector; great-grandchildren, Sam and Isabella; siblings, Alfredo (Sara) Rendon and Dora (+Anibal) Magallanes.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, November 1, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Friday, November 2, 2018, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will follow to the City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerardo Rendon, Alfredo Rendon, Jr., Cesar Rendon, Jorge Rendon, Carlos Magallanes and Juan Hector Capetillo.

Sentimos mucho la pérdida de su ser querido por eso queremos compartir con ustedes el consuelo que Dios nos da mediante las escrituras. Por ejemplo en Isaías 33:24 dice que llegará el día en que nadie dirá “estoy enfermo”. En Revelación o Apocalipsis 21:4 dice que “Dios limpiará toda lágrima de los ojos y la muerte no será más ni existirá ya más lamento ni clamor ni dolor”. Y por últimos en Hechos 24:15 habla de “una resurrección”. Jehova Dios muy pronto acabará con toda la maldad y el sufrimiento ademas nos dice que tiene el deseo de devolverles la vida a nuestros seres queridos que hayan muerto.
Mis sentidas condolencias tal ves ustedes no me conosen solo quiero compartir una esperanza que jehova dios nos da en su palabra la biblia en juan 5:28,29 "No se maravillen de esto porque viene la ora en que todos los que estan en las tumbas conmemorativas oiran su voz y saldran".
