Bertha Arabella Guevara, 68, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

Bertha was born on March 12, 1953, in Laredo, TX. Bertha graduated from J.W. Nixon High School and continued her education at the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, where she received her Bachelors in English and Math. Shortly after, she started her career as a teacher with LISD, where she taught 7th grade.

Bertha was a kind, caring, and thoughtful person, always putting others before herself. She will be remembered for her great optimism, joyful disposition, and infectious laughter. Bertha was loved by so many and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, Rolando and Bertha G. Guevara, her sister, Cordelia May Guevara.

Bertha is survived by her siblings, Jose Guevara, Rolando Jr.(Susana) Guevara, Catalina (Luis) Meza, Luis H. (Adriana) Guevara, Gerardo G. Guevara, and Teodoro Guevara, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving guests on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services chapel. A chapel service will start at 10:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rolando Guevara Jr., Luis H. Guevara, Gerardo G. Guevara, Luis Meza, Luis H. Guevara Jr., Eddie Rosales, and Gerardo G. Guevara Jr.
