Antonio “Tony” Castillo Jr., 84, of Laredo, Texas passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.  Tony was born and raised in Laredo. In his early years, Tony was a proud migrant worker in Grafton, North Dakota and a radio personality for many years at KVOZ Radio Station in Laredo. Tony and Maria Socorro married in 1972, where together they raised six children. Tony was known to be a hardworking, family-oriented man who enjoyed spending quality time at his Heaven away from Home, Casa Verde Acres, in Laredo. He had a passion for instilling the values with raising livestock at his “Ranchito.”

Tony and Maria are proud of their greatest legacy–Their Children and Grandchildren, who would like to acknowledge our parents encouragement, guidance, understanding, and most importantly, their unconditional Love.

As we reflect on your life, we appreciate how much you have given us and how little you have asked in return. Thank you for being such wonderful parents. You will forever be in our Hearts and we will cherish all the memories.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Castillo, Sr. and Jesusita R. Castillo; siblings, Carlos Castillo, Sr., Dolores Mares; niece, San Juanita Enriquez, and nephew, Carlitos Castillo, III.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years of marriage Maria Socorro Castillo; children Patricia (Ben Garcia) Castillo, Teresita (Denny Bradford) Castillo, Sylvia C. (Roel) Gonzalez , Susie (Fernando Jr.) Chavarria, Antonio (Rosa Santos) Castillo, III, and Victoria (Angel) Tapia; siblings Pedro A. (Epifania) Castillo, Juan M. (Alicia) Castillo, Maria G. (Geronimo) Enriquez, Jose Luis (Araceli) Castillo, and Lucille (Rodolfo) Leyva; 22 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.

My heartfelt condolences. I am going to miss him and his warm welcome at the Ranch. When I would ride my horse at the ranch by myself , he always stayed behind until I finished riding to make sure I safely finished and and then he would go home. He made me feel secure. How noble of him. I greatly appreciated that. He is really going to be missed ... ❤️ ?Respectfully, Lamar Ramirez
