Antonia Montemayor

Antonia Montemayor, 87, went to join our Lord and her loved ones in Heaven, Monday, March 11, 2019, surrounded by her family.

Antonia was a woman whose strong faith and deep love for family were the cornerstones of how she lived her life. She was undoubtedly an inspiration to the many lives she touched. No matter the circumstance, no matter the struggle, she was always there to pray and lend a helping hand of support to any and everyone who needed it. Together with her soulmate, Conrado, they selflessly gave of their time not only to family and friends, but to the needs of those in their church parish and beyond. No one was a stranger to her love and support. She was an incredible woman whose great humor, hearty laughter, and warm hugs will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Montemayor was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lesley Guerra and grandson, David Montemayor, III.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 67 years of marriage, Conrado Montemayor; children, Gracie (Neo) Cantu of Sugarland, Texas, Conrado (Mary) Montemayor of Houston, Texas, Stella Guerra of Laredo, Texas, Veronica (Danny) Zamarripa of Houston, Texas and David Montemayor of Laredo, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; her sister, Sister Ofelia Lozano of the Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco.

The family will be receiving guests on Friday, March 15, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services.  A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am.  Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
