Anna C. Lopez, 99, entered into eternal rest on, Thursday, May 5, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose A. Lopez; parents, Juan Cortez and Manuela Rubio Cortez; siblings, Rafael D. Cortez, Juan Cortez, Gregorio Cortez, and Eugenia Campos.

Anna was a lead salesperson at Dillard’s, where she worked for over twenty years. She was a fiercely dedicated mom to all of her children, raising all three of them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Anna, a value she instilled in all those around her. She left a void and her absence is impossible to fill.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Josephine (Guillermo) Garcia, Graciela L. Garcia, and Jose Antonio Lopez, Jr.; grandchildren, Patricia L. Rodriguez,  Guillermo R. (Christy) Garcia, Jr., Mark (Teletha) Garcia, E. Judith (Ahmad) Griffin, Raimundo D. (Klarissa) Garcia, Isaac (Grizelda) Garcia, Rene A. (+Christina) Garcia, Katie Batchelder, Justin Lopez, and Ryan Lopez; eighteen great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other family and friends.

The family will be receiving guests on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM where we will then be departing for the funeral service held at Christ the King Catholic Church with Mass beginning at 11:30 AM located at 1105 Tilden Ave, Laredo, TX 78040. Cremation will be held at a later date.

Pallbearers will be Guillermo R. Garcia, Jr., Mark E. Garcia, Raimundo Garcia, Isaac Garcia, Rene A. Garcia, and E. Judith Garcia.

The family would like to express their upmost gratitude to Dr. Milton Haber, and Dr. Adonis Zuniga-Goldwater and her cherished caregiver Cecilia Bernal for all their care and dedication.
