Angel A Perez left a message on June 12, 2020:
How do we tell our hearts she is no longer here? How do we let our thoughts she has become a memory? Two things that run parallel and never stop are time and change. No hay amor como el de una madre. On behalf of the Marin Chapa, Salinas Chapa, and the entire Chapa and Ramos family, and the Perez Chapa family (Roberto, Edward, Tomas and myself) we want to thank all of you for being here. Not an easy last few days but we will prevail. First. Close your eyes and remember that moment that takes you back with her. Now that shall be a great memory. If we are here in spirit or physically means we were touched in some way by Sister Angelica. Let her be granted the peace for she worked for during her presence in this world. Let her actions speak for her. Let her love speak for her. For now, that will be the most priceless possession left behind for us to honor her memory. How do we cope with this event? There is no specific way rather each in our own way. Let our thoughts be our healers in this difficult time. Loosing a mother is a difficult moment but it also should mark a moment in celebrating her life. Now who was she for those that lived with her all or part of her 73 years in this world? She first was the daughter of Roberto Chapa Serna and Guillermina Ramos Garza. The youngest daughter and sister to Graciela and Mirthalla. Born on November 11th, 1946 in Santa Maria la Florena Nuevo Leon. Santa Maria who she spoke very fondly of. Her land her tierra. She married and has 4 surviving men who she named Roberto, Edward, Angel Abraham, Tomas Urbano. She fought for them until her last breath and tried to make sure they were always fine. She was also a Grandma who in every second she had would really enjoy their visit. If it was from the young ones or the older grandchildren, it was her joy. With all that has been spoken it is time to grade her stay in this earth. How do we grade her as a mother which was her most important role? As a sister? How do we grade her as a grandmother? As an aunt? As a cousin? As a businesswoman? As the human being she was? I grade her in all the above categories top of its class and completed her stay with honors in her journey through this world. Now it is the time to keep those feelings in your hearts and that image of her in your memories. Special thanks to all the medical personal that took care of her during these last few years. To the funeral parlor that has supported us through these days. To Moesha and Veronica. Vida eterna para nuestra Hermana Angelica. Let it be told from Santa Maria la Florena, Monterrey passing through Laredo and onto Houston that she is at peace.

Thank you to all who took the time to send a message or a phone call. This is a difficult time for all but as our mother would have wanted is to keep going even under the most challenging circumstances. From the Chapa Serna, Ramos Garza, Marin Chapa. Salinas Chapa, Garza Chapa and from the families of Roberto Perez, Edward Perez, Tomas Perez and mine we wan to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
