Ana Maria (Anita) BrownDecember 25, 1934 – March 16, 2012Ana Maria (Anita) Brown was born December 25, 1934, in Laredo, Texas. After her marriage to William L. Brown from Ensley, Alabama, it was there that she lived most of her life as a housewife and mother to her five children. Anita later came to reside in Laredo with her mother and family. After a brief illness, she passed away at the age of 77 on March 16, 2012.Anita was a loving wife and devoted mother. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. It was funny because before her mother passed away in 2003, they were both so close that in conversation, they would finish their sentences for each other. Because her birthday was on Christmas day, she was particularly fond of that day many family members would visit and wish her a happy birthday.She was preceded in death by her husband: William Lee Brown and daughter Jeannie Brown; parents: Ascencion and Adela Garcia; sisters: Alicia Garcia, Carolina Garcia, Norma Landin, Rosa Maria Deliganis, Maria Elena Bocanegra; brother: Alejo Garcia.Survivors include her children: William (Kathy) Brown Jr., Adela (Greg) Curtis, Norma (Terry) Sampley, Jeffrey Brown, and Annette Manning; Sisters: Graciela (Ignacio) Sanchez, Gloria (Raul) Luan, Laura (Richard) Shealy, Betty (Ron) Presti, Sylvia (Ismael) Arellano; Brother: Roberto (Zhenia) Garcia and her loving 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
