Big Al, our dear friend, we will truly miss you. You were such a good friend. We will all look back fondly on all the lunches, happy hours and CFB watch parties we had in years past; your sharp wit, and all the jokes and ribbing on our respective teams and seasons. It is ironic you left us at the beginning of another season; for once, for you, I will pull for Texas. Till we meet again my good friend.

I was told of his passing on Tuesday. I was on my way to take him some home made brownies like I had promised. I had just seen Alonzo the week prior and was waiting for his call to tell me of his appointment with Frank for a hair cut. That call never came. Alonzo was a funny guy once you got to know him. He loved everything football and lunch with " the guys" especially if it wasn't his turn to pay. Mr. Guevara was always kind enough to pick him up for lunch on Mondays and early evenings on Fridays. Mr. Laurel took care of many stray cats that we named Garfield, Oreo, Tigger, Panther, Smokey, Bandit, little Oreo, Bully, and Don Bigote but his favorite was the one he named Blue. Please help Alonzo continue caring for strays by making a donation to any animal shelter or adopting a cat. I know he would have loved that. My most heartfelt condolences to Sylvia and family, Yolanda and family, Ricardo and family, Anita and family and last but not least dear Norita and family. May Alonzo rest in peace and perpetual light be given on to him. My love and prayers to Alonzo's family and dearest friends ? ❤️ Ana Laura Prince Turner and Chris Turner

Alonzo was always a gentleman. Hard to find qualities in a person in this day and age. He was soft spoken yet he was able to get his point across without raising his voice. A smile which brighten up any area where he was found in…such a gentle soul. My condolences to Alonzo’s family, the Laurel family, friends and colleagues. May Alonzo rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon him.
