Alicia Elva Perez Zuniga, 93, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 27, 2019, surrounded by her family in Laredo, Texas.
Alicia was born on May 27, 1926, in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and spent most of her career as a beautician in Nuevo Laredo where she quickly became a household name around town and had an extensive number of loyal friends and clients.
Alicia loved to travel and enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Alicia was affectionately known as “Mama Licha” by her grandchildren. She was very much loved and respected by her friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Alejandro Zuniga and son, Alejandro Zuniga Jr. (Cynthia). She is survived by her son Hector X. Zuniga (Flor Maria), her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Zuniga (Alejandro); grandchildren, Hector X. Zuniga Jr. (Catlin), Daniel A. Zuniga (Ana Lee), Alex Zuniga III, Victor E. Zuniga, Stephanie A. Zuniga, Michael A. Zuniga (Beau), Philip Zuniga (Lauren), Aaron Zuniga; and great-grandchildren, Fernando Zuniga, Kristelle Zuniga, Christopher Zuniga, Anthony Zuniga and numerous nephews and nieces. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Her wonderful spirit will be celebrated on Friday, October 4, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services located at 1320 Trey Dr., Laredo, TX. A prayer service will start at 7:00 pm. A mass celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 10:00 am at St. John Neumann Church at 102 W. Hillside Rd.
