Alice A. Tijerina, 85, was called home to the Lord, Thursday, January 22, 2015.
Alice was a loving wife to Cosme Tijerina and wonderful mother to her four children, Victoria, Veronica Martinez, Michael and Valerie Tijerina.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cosme Tijerina and daughter Valerie Tijerina. She was a volunteer at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, helping the teachers with the children’s CCD classes. She loved to laugh, dance and bowl, and was energetic to the end.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Victoria, Veronica and Michael Tijerina; her grandchildren, Jimmy and Daniel Martinez, Melissa Tijerina Randall; great-grandchildren, Gunnar Tijerina, Alyssa, Brianna, and Brian Randall, Rayna Rose and Jade Martinez.
The family will be receiving guests on Monday, January 26, 2015 from 5:00 – 9:00 pm with a rosary prayed at 7:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral Home 1320 Trey Drive, Laredo, Texas 78041. For more information call 956-723-3723. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from the funeral home to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Interment will follow immediately at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
