Alberto Ramos, 96, entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 16, 2020.
Mr. Ramos was a WWII Veteran of the United States Army. During his tour of duty he received the WWII Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon, and one Bronze Service Star. He worked with the Southwestern Transport SMT lines as a foreman, truck driver & collector for over 30 years. He was a 3rd level Mason Apprentice. He graduated from Laredo Junior College Vocational School on August 27, 1950 with a degree in Automobile Body Repair.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Ramos; sons, Arturo Ramos, Jose Carlos Ramos, and Javier Ramos.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Alberto (Maria) Ramos, Daniel (Hilda) Ramos, Leticia Segovia, and Rosa (Joe) Almeida; 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and other family.
The family will be receiving guests Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. A Prayer Service will be officiated at 11:00 am. Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery with full Military Honors provided by the United States Army Honor Guard and The American Legion Post 59 of Laredo.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Ramos, Alberto Ramos, Javier Ramos, Gabriel Ramos, Carlos Ramos, Rolando Ramos, Johnny Segovia, and Andy Segovia.

Our deepest sympathy and most sincere condolences to our cousins, the Ramos family. Our Tio Beto was always welcome when he visited us in Houston. He had a great sense of humor and always kept us laughing. May the Good Lord give you strength during these difficult times.
My most valued memory is when we heard him sing the song he sang to my grandma. I will miss the stories and memories he shared.
