Obituary

On Friday, October 1, 2021, Alberto Raul Lozano entered eternal rest at his home surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer.

Albert or Beto as he was called by his family and friends was born on February 24, 1942 to Alberto Lozano Perez and Zulema Martinez Mas in Mexico City.

At a young age, the family moved to San Antonio, Texas where his father started the Perez Appliance Repair Service. In working with his father he acquired this craft which became his life-long profession. He continued his career working for Sears and Montgomery Ward as an appliance technician and service manager respectively. Towards his later years, he was self-employed in his own business under Albert’s Appliance Service until his retirement.

Beto loved listening to music of the 50-60’s and his passion was working and refurbishing old cars. He was proud to have restored a couple of classic mustangs and thunderbirds for clients. His love of cars and learning new ideas led him to accompany friends to several Swap Meets in Texas and getting together with old car enthusiasts at Auto Zone on Fridays as well.

He is survived by his wife Rosa Olga; children, Alisa Claudia, Scott and Robert Irvin, Norma Cazares (David), Linda, Jose and Alberto Lozano Jr. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and man’s best fur friends Nico and Harley.

The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to Dr. Marissa Gonzalez and Dr. Mohsen Ghadimi-Mahani and their staff for the medical attention and care given during his illness; to the Holy Savior Hospice medical team that gave him constant care, and to his caregiver, Lupita Gonzalez.

The family will be receiving guests on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services at 2:00 pm where a memorial service will begin at 4:00 pm followed by a reception.
