On December 20, 2018, our beloved mother Adela Castillo Garza, 93, went to join our Lord and her loved ones in Heaven.
Adelita as she was affectionally known by everyone who knew and loved her was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Ovidio Garza, her parents Carlos and Juanita Castillo and her brothers, Victor Castillo, Carlos Castillo and Ramiro Castillo
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Pablo (Maribel) Garza, Cesar (Sonia) Garza and Leti (Rick) Deaver, grandchildren, Pablo Garza, Luis Garza, Marcela Garza, Rodrigo Garza, Patricio Garza, Alejandro Garza, Cesar (Erika) Garza, Roberto Garza, Rafael (Karina) Garza, Nick (Kristie) Deaver, Sam (Eden) Deaver great grandchildren Carolina (Jaime) Hernandez, Cesar I. Garza, Sagan Garza, Haley Blair, Lucy Blair, Natalie Blair and Ryan Genevie Deaver, great-great grandson son, Cody Hernandez, her sister, Rosa Galvan. Surviving her also are nephews, nieces, other relatives and her many friends.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Laredo Nursing and Rehab Center and especially to her nurses Coco, David and Mike for their care and compassion to Dr. Oscar Benavides and Dr. Adonis Zuniga-Goldwater.
The family will be receiving guests on Sunday, December 23, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 24, 2018, at the Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services chapel. Chapel service will start at 9:00 am. Deacon Crispin Soto will officiate. Interment will follow to the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
